Spain: Chanel rehears the staging of “SloMo” for Eurovision 2022
After her participation in the second semifinal of the Festival da Cançao 2022, Chanel has started the preparations for her participation in Turin as Spanish representative, as RTVE broadcaster has unveiled on its official website.
During this week has been rehearsing on the Estudio 5 of Prado del Rey (Madrid) her staging for the contest with the song “SloMo”. These rehearsals han been coordinates by Kyle Hanagami, the choreographer that worked previously with her for the Benidorm Fest, the Spanish national selection for Eurovision 2022.
Hanagami is a talented choreographer and artistic director living in Los Angeles. Very demanded, has worked for artists as BlanckPink Jennifer López, Britney Spears, CNCO, Justin Bieber and NSync, also well-known brands as Nike, Disney and Calvin Klein. On Youtube, thanks to viral dance videos, has got more than 4 millions of subscribers and 800 millions of views of those videos.
Chanel is amazing. I worked with many artists and when I listened the song of Leroy Sánchez and saw Chanel I asked be part of this project. I think that never I has worked with a new artist so talented from the begining. With many artists you need years of working with them to grow. The fact that this team has built this performance in just 3-4 days…says a lot about the talent and work of all of them.

Of course I watch Eurovision. I think that it’s something unique, it has its own language, the fans are so devoted. I love it, it’s really exciting.
Chanel, who has been prepared the staging with her five dancers, admits that despite the hard work the experience is amazing. The official music video of “SloMo” will be released on Monday 14th March at 12:00 CET and Chanel admits that she is very exciting to see the final results of her presentation card in Europe being her first music video.
The rehearsals are great altough very difficult, with a lot of hours. But we are happy because to have here Kyle is a gift. That we can have him and rehearse and clean up the choreography is really cool. You can always improve.

Portugal was amazing. We had the public on the sides. I heard when they sang, danced… It was the first stop since the Benidorm Fest, we didn’t compete and we had enjoy it . Everything was wonderful.
Although for now the details about the staging are unknown small clues have been unveiled. While Kyle says “Chanel Chanel chanel” in reference to the power of the singer over the stage, Chanel advances “Spectacle and show, ‘booty hipnotic’”.
