This morning has been released “Miss You”, the song that Jérémie Makiese will sing in Turin as the Belgian representative. “Miss You” was premiered during Le 8/9 program on Vivacité Radio, where the singer was a guest.
Some fans of the contest have compared the style of the song with the main theme of the recent James Bond films as “No time to die” or “Spectre”.
22 years old and born in Antwerp with Congolese roots, Jérémie rose the fame after the recent victory in the ninth edition of “The Voice Belgique”, with covers of artists such as Michael Jackson or Bruno Mars. In September 2021 French-speaking Belgian broadcaster, RTBF, announced to the singer as its internal selection for Turin. He was also the first act announced for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.
Apart to sing, Jérémie plays as goalkeeper for the Royal Excelsior Vitron Footbal club, in the Belgian First Division B.
Jérémie will sing “Miss You” over the PalaAlpitour stage during the second half of the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, on 12th May.
