Ο Ralph Siegel κλείνει φέτος 25 συμμετοχές. Τι δήλωσε σχετικά.

Ο 71 έτους Γερμανοεβραίος συνθέτης και παραγωγός Ralph Siegel διαγωνίζεται φέτος για 25η φορά στη Γιουροβίζιον, κάτι που είναι φυσικά ρεκόρ (για την ιστορία, ακολουθεί ο Thomas G:son με 13). Με αφορμή αυτό το γεγονός παραχώρησε μια συνέντευξη από τη Νέα Υόρκη, όπου ετοιμάζει ένα μιούζικαλ για τον Count Zeppelin και ψάχνει παραγωγούς να το αναλάβουν.

Αφού εξέφρασε την πικρία του για το γεγονός ότι η Γερμανία εδώ και χρόνια τον αγνοεί, δήλωσε ότι χάρη στον Άγιο Μαρίνο ξαναζεί το όνειρο μιας Γιουροβίζιον. Μάλιστα αποδέχθηκε την πρόταση του κρατιδίου με την προϋπόθεση να τραγουδήσει η Valentina Monetta! Το φετινό pop/jazz τραγούδι μιλά για την αγάπη δύο ανθρώπων που συναντιούνται σε ένα κλαμπ και ερωτεύονται. Τα γυρίσματα του video-clip έγιναν με άκρα μυστικότητα στο Μόναχο και συγκεκριμένα στο club P 1, διότι δεν ήθελαν να γίνει καμία διαρροή, ενώ το τραγούδι ηχογραφήθηκε στο ιδιωτικό του στούντιο σε μια βίλα στο Grünwalder .

Από εδώ και πέρα, είναι διατεθειμένος να βάλει κόπο, χρόνο και χρήμα για τη Γιουροβίζιον. Σε ερώτηση αν θα επέστρεφε ξανά, είπε: “συνεχώς με τρώει…”, άρα θα τον βλέπουμε για πολλά χρόνια ακόμα.

Κάτι που δεν είναι γνωστό είναι ότι σχετίζεται και με τα δύο βραβεία της Γερμανίας: το 1982 με τη Nicole ήταν ο συνθέτης και έπαιζε πιάνο επί σκηνής, ενώ το 2010 ανακάλυψε τη Lena και της έκανε την παραγωγή. Επίσης μια πληροφορία που γνωρίζουν μόνο οι σκληροπυρηνικοί φαν είναι ότι ο πατέρας του, Ralph Maria Siegel ήταν στιχουργός στο Telefon, Telefon (Γερμανία 1957), καθώς και στη γερμανική διασκευή του Dansevise (Δανία 1963-βραβείο).
