Austria: Listen to “Halo”, the song of LUM!X and Pia Maria for Eurovision
The song of Austria for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, “Halo”, has been released. The song is performed by the duo of Pia Maria, that sing the song, alongside well-known DJ LUM!X. Electro-pop song, “Halo” has been created by a composers team formed by Sophie Alexandra Tweed-Simmons , Rasmus Flyckt , Anders Nilsen , Gabriele Ponte and Luca Michlmayr with production of DJ LUM!X himself.
“Halo” was released at midmight on the digital stream platforms, while the song was aired by first time this morning at 7:40 CET on “Ö3-Wecker” of Hit Radio Ö3, where the perfomers were as guests. After that, the videoclip was premiered on ORF 2 chanel during “Guten Morgen Österreich”. Tonight the performers will take part of the “Hallo Österreich”, hosted by Andi Knoll on ORF 1.
Luca Michlmayr, Known as DJ LUM!X, was selected internally by ORF broadcaster to be the Austrian act in Turin, accompained of Pia Maria.
Having started his musical career with only 11 years, DJ LUM!X is, at the present, one of the most sucessfull artists of the Austrian music. His song “Monster”, released in 2019, was a hit, with more than one billion streams on digital platforms. Apart the song was Gold in Denmark and Italy, and Platinum in Austria (two times), Germany,France and Poland. The success continued with the single “Thunder” , entered, by first time, in the Italian charts, earning also the Platinum record.
I see ‘Halo’ as a comeback song. A comeback from sitting at home for a whole generation. Now we can finally party again, visit clubs and have fun. The steady energy of ‘Halo’ provides the perfect soundtrack for it. From the songwriting to the production, everything is geared towards a party song that still captures the spirit of the times and has its place as pop music on the radio.

Pia Maria is a emerging singer and songwriter from Tyrol, with a powerful voice and 18 years only. Originally makeup artist, formed at the Tiroler Landestheater, she started to create song at 15. Although she has few experience over a stage she takes up the challenge with many illusion because the music has been always her big passion.
For me, the song is about strength. ‘Halo’ gives me an incredible amount of strength. It’s one of those songs that makes you feel like you can do anything.
