Albania: Revamped version of Sekret officially released
The new version of the song of Ronela Hajati for Eurovision 2022, “Sekret”, has been released today. “Sekret” was the song with which Ronela Hajati won the 60 Festivali i Këngës, held in December, and the place to represent Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. The revamped version is performed in English with some parts in Albanian and Spanish.
The lyrics of “Sekret” are of Ronela herself and the music has been created by Marco Polo. With a style etno-pop and R&B, it tells a history about a forbiden love but apasionated.
The videoclip that accompanies the new version was filmed along the Vjoa River at Bylis, Gijorakastra and Tepelena. Apart to the presentation card for Ronela in Europe the videoclip has a message about to protect the natural environment.
32 years old and from Tirana , Ronela Hajati is one of the most popular pop singers and songrwriters of the Albanian music scene, having participated in several festivals and talent shows of her country since we was a child, and achieving success on her career as the recent “Leje”, released in October 2021 . As songwriter she has collaborated with Albanian singers as the Eurovision act Anxhela Peristeri (Albania 2021).
Ronela Hajati will compete as the Albanian act in the first half of the first semifinal, on 10th May.
