In a statement on Twitter account KAN broadcaster has stated that the Israeli delegation will not be at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, with Michael Ben David and “I.M” as its representative.
As the broadcaster explains in the post, there is currently a strike at the Foreign Ministry. The strike affects to GSS, the security service that scorts the delegation when it travels to the Eurovision Song Contest.
Due to the strike by the Foreign Ministry, the GSS can not handle the Israeli delegation to the Eurovision Song Contest, and as of this moment, the Israeli delegation will not participate in the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest in Turin.

Without the security service, adds KAN,“we can not take responsibility for the security of the delegation without security on behalf of the State of Israel”.
For now KAN hasn’t announced any further details about this, and it’s unclear if its act, Michael Ben David, will compete with a live-on-tape performance of “I.M” or if the broadcaster and the Israeli delegation really withdraw from the contest.
