Eurovision 2022: The artists will participate in the postcards’ filming from their countries
During the last weeks Italian broadcaster, RAI, has made the postcards that precede the performance of each Eurovision 2022 participant in several locations of the country as Naples, Perugia, Venice or Civita di Bagnoregio. But it looks like that this year, as 2021, these artists will take part in the filming remotely.
During these days the participants in Turin have begun to show on their social accounts videos and photos recording their part of the postcards in front a green screen in their home countries. At the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 the postcards were made with that recording superimposed into the “tiny house” and a background filmed in a location of The Netherlands, diferent for each participant.
Before the pandemic the competing artists participated directly in the filming of the postcards. For example, in 2015 or 2018 the artists travelled to the host country taking part in the traditional life or activites of the people while in 2016 was at the viceversa, and the filming team of the host broadcaster travelled to the home country of each participant.
