“Meet the Artists” – ICELAND: María Ólafsdóttir

H María Ólafsdóttir θα εκπροσωπήσει φέτος της Ισλανδία στον διαγωνισμό τραγουδιού της Eurovision με το τραγούδι Unbroken.

Η Μaria γεννήθηκε στις 21 Μαρτίου 1993 στην πόλη Blönduós, που βρίσκεται στην Βόρεια Ισλανδία.

Είναι πρωτοεμφανιζόμενη καλλιτέχνιδα, έτσι για πρώτη φορά την είδαμε στον εθνικό τελικό της Ισλανδίας – Söngvakeppnin 2015.

Το τραγούδι “Unbroken” παρουσιάστηκε στον τελικό της Ισλανδίας στα ισλανδικά, και είχε τον τίτλο “Lítil skref”. Το τραγούδι έχουν γράψει οι εξής:

Έφτασε μέχρι το νο2 των ισλανδικών charts, αλλά και στο νο80 των τουρκικών.

Αποφασίστηκε πως στον διαγωνισμό θα ερμηνευτεί στην αγγλική γλώσσα.

Η Ισλανδία διαγωνίζεται στην 12η θέση του 2ου ημιτελικού, στις 21 Μαίου.
