Iceland: Sigga, Beta & Elín will compete in Turin as Systur

This saturday Sigga, Beta & Elín were the winners of the Icelandic national selection, Söngvakeppnin 2022, with “Með hækkandi sól”.

The official music video of that song has been released today on the Eurovision Song Contest Youtube channel. The music video shows that the Icelandic female trio will compete in Turin under the name of Systur, “sister” in Icelandic.

Previously they have used as artistic name, Sísý Ey (“Ey Sisters”).

Sigga, Beta & Elín Eyþórsdóttir are three sisters from a family of musician, who started singing and playing when they were child and created Sísý Ey in 2011.The female folk band has released six singles, has participated in the well-known Glastonbury Festival in 2016 and collaborated with DJ Oculus in the successful “Ain’t Got Nobody”, released in 2013.
