Eurovision 2022: Second day of the rehearsals
The rehearsals of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 have followed today on the Pala Olimpico stage and here is everything happened during them (click on the participants to watch a small video of their rehearsals).
Maro (Portugal): “Saudade Saudade”
The Portuguese representative uses the B stage to appear in a intimate staging with the members of MARO surrounding in circle the main vocalist. Smoke in the floor, lights mainly in pink and blue complete a performance where the most important are the voices of the young girl band.
Mia Dimšić (Croatia): “Guilty Pleasure”
The “indie” style Croatian singer appears on stage with of three backing dancers, two men and a women, to tell the story of her song. Of course her guitar could not miss. We can highlight the combination of her gala dress with flamenco ruffles combined with military-style boots and the spectacular backgrounds. After to watch the TikTok video it looks like that the voice was fine althought I prefer wait to the realization video on Youtube, next week for a full assessment.
The Dannish girl band has taken the stage with retro-style female suits. The first impresion was thinking in a female version of Måneskin, friends to wear this king of wardrobre. Is it a tribute to the last winner of the contest?.
The performance keeps many details seen in the Dannish national final, but now with some spectacular elements as block neon colours on the graphic backdrop, helping to do a shocking performance that transforms the Pala Alpitour a concert hall of the 80’s .
LUM!X feat. Pia Maria (Austria): “Halo”
LUM!X and Pia Maria are surrounded by a huge circular neon lighting rig, flashing in several tones, including the red and white of the Austrian flag. The performance is OK but as you can see in the TikTok video the voice of Pia Maria doesn’t sound good. We hope that it’s only problems with the sound of the video.
Systur (Iceland): “Með Hækkandi Sól”
Another country and representative that have opted for a retro costume. This performance has some beautiful harmonies, and the glittery graphics make it feel quite magical. 100% would attend this Icelandic family gathering.
Amanda Tenfjord (Greece): “Die Together”
The Greek delegation has opted for a minimalist stage, only empty chairs against a blue backdrop. Although many elements are not necessary when the important thing is the voice of the Greek-Norwegian artist who has sounded very powerful in her first rehearsal
Subwoolfer (Norway): “Give that Wolf a Banana
With the exception of spectacular backgrounds and fire ejectors, the performance is similar to those seen in the national selection and Eurovision parties, with Keith and Jim are supported by three backing dancers in yellow suits and DJ astronaut is overseeing proceedings from their elevated pulpit.
The Armenian singer appears in a room with all elements that looks like they’re made from sticky notes and all in white. Also it looks like that the room rotates but for now we don’t know as it’s works and we must wait to the realization video. Voice of Rosa nice and perfect.
