The Opening Ceremony, the event that opens officially the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, will be held this evening at 18:00 CEST. The event will be held in the Venaria Reale at outskirts of Turin. The 40 participants and their delegations will be formally welcomed to Turin and will meet Mayor of Turin, Stefano Lorusso, Eurovision Song Contest Executive Supervisor Martin Österdahl, and Executive Producers Simona Martorelli and Claudio Fasulo.
The palace is a former Royal residence built in 1675 and has been on the UNESCO Heritage List since 1997, being the 6th most visited museum in Italy as of 2019.
Previously, at 16:00 CEST, they will parade on the Turquoise Carpet, 200 meters long and outside the palace. There they will pose for the cameras and answer the questions of the press and journalists. The running order is as follows:
