Eurovision 2022: Fifth day of the rehearsals

The participants in the First Semi-Final has done today their second rehearsal. EBU has shown a small fragment of 30 second of the realization on Youtube:

Ronela Hajati (Albania): “Sekrek

Ronela has changed her hairdress, now blonde again. She is dressed with a sparkly silver outfit. The backing dancers have added some black leather harnesses. The Staging is lighted with blue and purple colours. A lot of long shots and some details of the coreography not well done.

Citi Zēni (Latvia): “Eat Your Salad”

Close ups shot of each member at the begining. The colours of lights fit in block with each of the
Citi Zēni members’ outfit. Fruits printed on the background but the arch cover them partially. Some problems with the sound. The floor LED prints part of the lyrics of the song. Lots of close up and medium shots.

Monika Liu (Lithuania): “Sentimentai”

She uses the same dress of the national final. Lots of close up shots and mirroring effects during the song.The graphics in the background are waves, similar those of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 brand.Starting in dark, the stage begin to light up for the second verse.

Marius Bear (Switzerland): “Boys Do Cry”

Marius begins alone on the stage and a light shines him by behind. Some graphics, like a broken heart, are projected onto Marius and and a screen beside him. A rain falling is projected on the background and after onto the singer.

LPS (Slovenia): “Disko”

There is a giant disco ball on stage. The members are placed in different parts of the stage. At the end they placed around the disco ball while the camera circles them. The backgrounds are the same of the EMA.

Kalush Orchestra (Ukrania): “Stefania”

The performance starts with all of the members in shadows until the rap begins.The background graphics includes hands, eyes and tradititional Ukrainian patterns. On the floor shadows, swaying the mimicing their movements. A lot of audience’s shots during the clapping part. Costumes and staging very similar to those seen during the national final.

Intelligent Music Project (Bulgaria): “Intention”

A split screen shows the members of the band. There is an LED speaker cage at the back of the stage, from which graphics pulsate towards the other parts of the stage.Pyrotechnics are adding during the guitar solo. An image of the band’s logo appears on the stage at the end of the performance.

S10 (Netherlands):  “De diepte”

The performance starts with a overhead show of S10, placed on a square platform. The staging is very dark. The performance ends with the camera slowly panning towards to S10’s face from above. The arch is in black with some white spotlights.

Zdob și Zdub & Advahov Brothers (Moldova): “Trenulețul”

The Moldovan representative uses the same colourful costumes, with modern-folk style in the first rehearsal. The realization includes a lot of short shots. There are colourful graphics on the LED screens and the floor during the song. They end up on the catwalk.

Mia Dimšić (Croatia): “Guilty Pleasure”

Mia and the backing singers have had some sound problems with the earpiece during the first round. Dressed in rose Mia starts behind a mic stand with her guitar. Three dancers join her and the singer interacts with them. The last part of the song is performed in Croatian and there are some problems with the mixing of the backing track.

Reddi (Denmark): “The Show”

The performance starts with a close-up shot of the vocalist’s reflection on the piano. Logo of the band printed on the LED floor. There are fireworks on the last part of the song. The members of REDDi uses costumes with style of the 70’s or 80’s. Neon colours with retro style and the center of the arch is in black.

Lumix feat. Pia Maria (Austria): “Halo”

Lumix and Pia Maria are in the middle of a circular ring with LED lights. Some problems with the sound and the voice of Pia Maria. New hairdress of Pia Maria, with pigtails. A lot of lighting, adding pyrotechnics on the final chorus.

Amanda Georgiadi Tenfjord (Greece): “Die Together”

Staging very simple, with broken chairs. The performance starts with a close-up shot of Amanda.The voice of Amanda has been OK. Influence of the national flag on the chairs and the lights using the blue and white as basis colours. A graphic of a couple appears under the chair and then make their way up to the background screen.

Maro (Portugal): “Saudade, saudade”

All girls are dress in rose and purple tones. Maro, the vocalist, is placed in the center of a circle with the rest of the band surrounded her while perform the song and clap the hand during the chorus. The staging, very intimate, uses lights in colours gren and purple. One of the backing vocalists has been tested positive for Covid-19 and was replaced for a extra.
