RAI, host broadcaster of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, and the Municipality of Turin have confirmed that the Parco del Valentino will be the location of the Eurovillage during the weeks of the European music contest.
This meeting point for delegations, competitors of Eurovision 0222, fans of the contest and visitors will open on 7th May with several activites inside of the venue and surroundings. In addtion to a large stage and screen where it will be able watch the live shows and performances of the Eurovision 2022 artists and others, it will be possible also to taste the piedmontese gastronomy in the restaurants, bars and cafes of the Parco, with specialtes created for the event such as the “cocktail Måneskin”, a tribute to the last winner of the contest. As was advanced previously from the chamber of commerce, other ideas would include Eurovision Song Contest themed ice glaces and pastries.
From the municipality wants that the Parco, like the rest of the music contest, be an event focused on peace after the current was in Ukraine due to the invasion of the country by Russian troops.
We do not know what war scenario we will face on May 7, but the Eurovillage will open in the sign of peace and inclusion. It is a theme that is very close to the heart of the whole council and the mayor. Turin hosts one of the most important events at a time when there are thousands of deaths and refugees in Europe
