Eurovision 2022: 3D animation of the stage in operation released
With the works to building the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 stage almost ready, EBU and RAI broadcaster has shown on social media a video in 3D where we can see the stage in motion. The stage is been built at the Pala Olimpico of Turin, venue of the contest.
The stage has been designed by Atelier Francesca Montinaro. Under the leitmotiv “The sun within”, the stage focuses on a lightning and kinetic sun. The sun, the central element of the stage, is surrounded by water that symbolizes the Mediterranean Sea arround the Italian peninsula. The stage is completed with a leafy Italian garden in the Green Room area, where the artists will rest after the performances acompained by their delegations. This element is inspired by the culture of the Italian baroque gardens that we can see in places like Villa d’Este, Castel Gandolfo or Villa Lante.
All these elements together (the sun, the water and the gardens) have inspired Francesca Montinaro the idea for the stage and their relationship with the Italian country.
Italy, with its sun its sea, art and nature, but above all to represent Italians with their unique vocation to adapt and welcome.
