Netherlands: Listen to “De Diepte”,the Dutch song at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022
This morning, in a special broadcast of the NPO 2 Radio program “Aan de Slag”, the song that S10 will perform at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 as the Dutch act has been released. The song is named “De Diepte” (The deep) and has been written by S10 herself and the producer Arno Krabman.
S10 will perform in Turin that song in Dutch, being the first time, since 2010, that the country competes in the contest with this lenguage (“Sha-La-Lie”)
It’s a tribute to the sadness and memories that you carry with you. Everyone experiences difficult times in their lives. That’s something we all have in common and I hope you will feel less alone when you listen to the song.
S10, Dutch representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022
The Dutch entry in Eurovision 2022, was chosen by an AVROTROS comitee consisted of the Dutch television commentators Jan Smit and Cornald Maas as well as radio-DJs Coen Swijnenberg and Sander Lantinga, focused more on the song itself than the performer.
Stien den hollander, known by S10, altough is 21 years old only is one of the emerging artists of the current Dutch music scene. With millions of streams to her name, has collaborated with the biggest artists of her country and has received rave reviews from music critics. With 17 years she signed the first record deal with Noahs Ark label, releasing the first album, “Snowsniper” in 2019, which won an “Edison”, the most prestigious music award in The Netherlands. Her second album, “Vlinders”, was released in 2020.
The Netherlands will compete in the first half of the first semi-final on 10th May.
