Italy: The capacity of the PalaOlimpico, Eurovision 2022 venue, currently limited to the 65%
The health measures against the Covid-19, currently active in Italy, limit the live audience in the big events and concerts, being the PalaOlimpico one of venues affected. This it’s means, if the restrictions continues until May, that the venue would have the capacity reduced to the 65% during Eurovision 2022, approximately 8,450 seats. In a normal situation would be around 13,000 seats (end stage concert).
But not all it’s decided yet. As has explained Guido Rossi, Head of the RAI Production Center in Turin, to TorinOggi the broadcaster hopes that in May the restrictions have changed and “can work at the maximum capacity, guaranteeing safety”.
For now the official information about the tickets sale hasn’t been announced yet. According some italian media the first details about the sale would be revealed to the end of February or the begining of March.
