Germany: Conchita Wurst among the guest artists of Germany 12 points
This Friday, 4th March, Germany will choose its representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. The televised final will count with several guests, as ARD broadcaster has announced today:
- Conchita Wurst
- Jane Comerford
- Thomas Hermanns
- Bülen Ceylan
The most important of the announced guests is Conchita Wurst, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with “Rise like a phoenix” ,while Jane Comerford represented to Germany in 2006 as lead singer of Texas Lightening . Thomas Hermanns hosted the German national selection in 2006 and has been German spokeperson for Eurovision during several years. Finally Bülent Ceylan is a comedian that previously announced the interest to compete in Eurovision someday.
ARD also has announced that there will be a special version of “Ein bisschen frieden”, being the 40th anniversary of the first victory of Germany in Eurovision with that song, performed by Nicole.
Due to the charity show “Solidarität mit der Ukraine” the final, hosted by Barbara Schöneberger, will start now later, at 21:00 CET.
The online voting is opened until 4th March at 20:00 CET and will be the 50% of the score each participant. The other 50% will be from the televote, during the televised final.
Six participants will compete in the final:

- Maël & Jonas – “I Swear To God”
- Eros Atomus – “Alive”
- Emily Roberts – “Soap”
- Felicia Lu – “Anxiety”
- Nico Suave & Team Liebe – “Hallo Welt”
