Eurovision 2022: Calendar of the events at the Eurovision Village

The Municipality of Turin has announced the calendar the events of the Eurovision Village during the days of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.

This meeting point of the contest, placed at the Parco del Valentino, will open the doors on 7th May with several concerts and activities that will start daily at 17:00 CEST, with over of the 40 hours of concerts, debates and shows in the live area:

Saturday, 7th May – “In the name of peace”: Lineup of concerts and testimonies againts the war. Emerging artists will share the stage with established performers such as the techno-jazz trio Tun and the Australian musician duo FX.

Sunday, 8th May – “Civil rights and to the LGBTQ+ community”: Over six hours of concerts with artists from all over Italy as Karma B, Elasi and Plastica, Cristina D’Avena ft. Gem Boy.

Monday, 9th May -“Europe Day”: Anniversary of the Robert Shuman’s declaration adressed in 1950 to the European countries to build a new relationships and of peace after two World Wars. This year “Europe for Peace”, will give the chance to think about the present role of the United Europe in solidarity with the Ukrainian people. The event will count not only with a wide schedule of performances (among which Melancholia + Little Pieces of Marmelade, Legno and Negrita) but also speechs related with that event from Ukrainian journalists, the Vice President of the European Parliament, Pina Picierno, and the European Commissioner for Equality, Helena Dalli. The iniciative is organized in collaboration with the Representative Office of the European Comission in Milan, the Italian Office of the European Parliament and the Red Cross.

Wednesday, 11th May – “‘Torino Calling’ Day”: A real ‘call to the arts’ for Turin’s artistic community. Bandakadabra will be the backing band, playing with an exceptional hip-hop crew, made up of the best young local rappers and the extraordinary Motel Connection. The involvement of Turin artists, alongside national and international stars, will be one of the distinctive features of the Eurovision Village programme.

Friday, 13th May – “World Music”: The Sweet Life Society, band from Turin, will play with artists among like Roy Paci and Davide Shorty.

The Eurovision Village stage will be open every day and from 17:00 to 20:30 CET, to local artists and projects such as Pagella Non Solo Rock.

Of course large screens will be set the days of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 live shows. The screens will allow to the visistors and fans watch the semi-finals (Tuesday, 10th May and Thursday, 12th May) and Grand Final (Saturday 14th May) of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.
