Sweden: Cornelia Jakobs gets the place for Eurovision 2022 with “Hold me closer”

Cornelia Jakobs has been the winner of the Swedish national selection, Melodifestivalen 2022. Thus she will represent the country with “Hold me closer”, the song with which she competed in the Swedish selection for the contest.

The highest score of the International jury was for the singer, receiving of the televoting the second highest score. Anders Bagge was second with “Bigger than the Universe” while Medina finished in the third place with “In I Dimman”.

Cornelia has got the victory in her third try , because she participated previously in the Swedish selection as part of the girlband Love Generation, in 2011 and 2012. As anecdote his father, Jakob Samuel, competed in the Melodifestivalen 2006 as vocalist of The Poodles.

Cornelia Jakobs will perform in the second half of the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song contest 2022, on 12th may.
